Some people apparently dislike Bolin because he’s too happy/childish/optimistic. To which I say, why do you literally hate joy? Some people say Bolin is the new Sokka, but he reminds me a lot more of Aang and Iroh. See above.

betrothed!John asked me how you get a firebender and an earthbender in the same family, and my explanation came out as “They had one firebender mom and one earthbender mom.” I think this is the second time I’ve accidentally said Mako and Bolin have two moms. better just adopt it as headcanon.
